A Gift for Thorby Ulf (2021)
Almost everyone has heard of Thor - the god of thunder is by far the most famous of all gods in the Nordic pantheon; He is the god of the common people, worshiped at all times and invoked by both warriors and peasants for his strength and blessings. In this charming piece by Ulf, a little peasant girl, red-haired like Thor, the god of the harvest, as he is sometimes called, offers bread. The stone statue resembles the actual ancient devotional statues of Thor found in Iceland.
